February is Black History Month!
Today we honor CRYSTAL DUNN.
CRYSTAL DUNN began her career at South side High School winning three New York State Championships. She went on to star for the U.S. Women’s National Team capturing a World Cup title and Olympic gold and bronze medals.
One of the most decorated American soccer players, she won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, 2024 Olympic gold and 2020 Olympic bronze in the NWSL, she was a 3-time Champion, 3-time Shield winner and the 2015 MVP and Golden Boot winner.
Known for her versatility she excelled as both an elite attacker and defender throughout her 12-year professional career.
Beyond the field, she advocates for maternal rights in sports, racial equality, and equal pay prompting recognition of athletes as well- rounded individuals.
