Boys' Soccer
Any 7th grade boy interested in playing soccer in the fall there will be an interest meeting on Monday, 6/9/25, after school in room 107.  Please see Mr. McGorty if you have any questions.
 
Art Club
There will be an Art Club meeting today, 6/5/25, after school in room 126.  New members are welcome.
 
Action and Service Club
There will be an Action and Service Club meeting Tuesday June 10th in room 210.  We will be discussing end of the year service opportunities.  All new members are welcome.
 
Girls' Soccer
Attention all 8th grade girls interested in trying out for soccer at South Side High School next year.  There will be a girls soccer tryout meeting on Tuesday June 10th at 2:45 in room 121.  If you are aiming for a spot on the JV or Varsity Soccer team, please join us for an important meeting to prepare for tryouts.
 
Girls' Lacrosse
Reminder to the 8th grade girls’ lacrosse team our end of the season meeting tomorrow Friday June 6th during extra help in the main gym.  If you have not handed in your jersey and pinnie you must do so at the meeting.  See you then

Sports 
The Girls’ spring Track and Field team had a great final meet on Tuesday at South Side High School.  The team competed against some of our fastest competition of the season from Baldwin, Woodmere, and Academy Charter.  Major highlights include a record-breaking shot put throw by Maddie James, incredible hurtles by Talia Brooks, and a great 400 by Nichole Breen.  The meet closed out with an exciting 4 by 1100 by SSMS’s relay team featuring Caroline Reda, Kate Marmorale, Shaliyah Lewis and Autumn Mullings-Newberry!  Amazing work girls!  Coaches Pinto, Flynn, and Ryan are so proud of you all!
