FACS Club
Interested in baking, sewing or doing fun crafts? FACS Club will have an information meeting on Wednesday October 1st after school in room 207 If you are interested in joining, please join the google classroom or see Ms. Porter for any questions.
Pep Band
Love to play your instrument? Join the SSMS Pep Band! Open to all 6th through 8th grade students that play a band instrument. Meetings will be on Wednesday after school in room 120 starting on October 1. Our first performance will be with the high school band at a South Side High School Varsity Football Game to support our Cyclones. World Language Club

The girls’ tennis team won their first match against Oceanside! Emma Froman, Shannon Laney & Angie Reel crushed their singles matches, and the doubles teams of Emma Martino & Penny Foley and Laila Mustapha & Maeve Bingham smashed their matches! Great win girls!
The 7th grade boys’ soccer team started their season with a dominating win against Manhasset yesterday. Dylan Solomon and TJ Diorio both scored two goals with Malachy McShane getting a goal as well. Ryan Santos and Joey Quinlan dominated the other team’s offense. The boys have their next game on Friday at home against Jericho.
The 8th Grade Boys’ soccer team had a nice comeback against Manhasset yesterday for their first game of the 2025 season. Goals were scored by Miles Woo, Adam Quenttant, Thomas Guildsman, and Matthew Ollendike. Josh Darlington’s corner kick set up tied the game for the Cyclones. Great goaltending by Luca Coughlin, ben Tarizi and Julian Hardenburgh. The team continues their season Friday at Jericho. Go Cyclones
