POP Club
The POP Club, or the Power of Possibilities Club will be hosting a bake sale after school today, 1/14, in the main lobby.  Each item will be one dollar and proceeds will be gifted to the Memorial Sloan Pediatric Clinic.
 
SSMS Hackathon
Attention all students who are attending the SSMS Hackathon must attend a mandatory meeting in the library during extra help on Thursday, 1/16.  Important information will be given out.
 
Trading Card Club
There is a Trading Card Club meeting after school tomorrow, 1/15, in room 107.
 
SADD & Action Service Club
Attention all SADD club and Action Service Club members and anyone who would like to be part of these amazing clubs!  Please come to our next meeting right after school tomorrow. 1/15, in room 210.  We need ideas for activities to help those battling the wildfires in California.    We appreciate all ideas and would love to hear what you have to say!  See Ms. Monsour with any questions.
 
Ted-Ed Club
The TED-ED club will meet today, 1/14, after school and Thursday, 1/16, after school in room 107.  Please see Mr. McGorty or Mr. Wiley if you have any questions.
 
Winter 2 Sports
THIS IS THE LAST WEEK TO SIGN UP FOR A WINTER 2 SPORT IN FINAL FORMS.  COME TO THE HEALTH OFFICE WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

Sports 

• The South Side Middle School Winter Track team won their final meet on Friday January 10th at South Side High School.  Major highlights include amazing races by Lila Rivara, Nichole Breen, Kate Marmorale, and Katelyn Breen.  Some of the top runners for the boys’ team included Peter Choi and Brendan Barry.
• SSMS’s girls’ relay team featuring Abby Smith, Mackenzie Dunphy, Avianna Miller, and Autumn Mullings-0Newberry won their final race.
• The boys’ relay team featuring Miles and Cooper Musa, Carmelo Montano and Leo Plaza won their race as well.  Great season everyone, Coaches Duggan, Pinto, McGorty and Baulch are so proud of you all.
