School Ski Trip
Shred it bro!  Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in the School ski trip to Belleayre Mountain on February 1st. There will be a mandatory informational meeting after school this Tuesday, December 17th.  You will be receiving all the necessary documents.  No paperwork can be handed out to a friend.  You must come and get it yourself.  Stay tuned for the location and see Mr. LaManna or Mrs. Fitzgerald with any questions.  Shred it bro!
 
Spirit Days
Get ready for the holiday season!  Show your school spirit by participating in these fun dress up days:

  • Monday is Holiday Glow up, wear something that shines or sparkles
  • Tuesday is Pajama Day!
  • Wednesday is Seasonal Socks Day
  • Thursday is Holiday Headgear
  • And – Festive Friday, wear your favorite festive outfit.

Pop into room 212 after school to experience the power of possibilities.  Join Mrs. Brancaccio for the kick off meeting.

Food Drive
Matthew, George and Fabian are having a food drive for Sharon’s Pantry now through December 20th.  Please donate to the red and green donation box located in the main lobby.
 
Sports News
The top runners from our Winter Track team represented South Side Middle School at the St. Anthony’s Regional Meet competed against almost 30 other teams.  Major highlights include amazing races by Lila Rivara, Nichole and Katelyn Breen, and Sam Broegg.  Some of the top runners for the boys’ team included Peter Choi, Sean Morrisey, Brendan Barry, Conroy Miller, Patrick Cahalan, and Leo Plaza.  SSMS’s girls’ relay team featuring Mackenzie Dunphy, Abby Smith, Avianna Milter, and Autumn Mullings-Newberry crushed the competition and came in 1st for their heat!  The boys’ relay team, featuring Aidan O’Connoll Miller, Miles and Cooper Musa, and Carmelo Montana did an excellent job as well.  Emilia Rakeman, Kate Marmorale, Morgan Cherry, and Eamon Primrose all stood out in their field events.  Great job everyone, Coaches Duggan, Pinto, McGorty, and Baulch are so proud of you all!
